We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our creative team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished, polished video products for various platforms including social media, websites, and advertisements. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with video editing software tools. This role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure the final product meets the organization's needs and standards.
Responsibilities:
Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
Create rough and final cuts.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines, and design standards.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, etc.).
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Ability to work independently and with team members to accomplish project goals.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with motion graphics and compositing.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and animation.
Knowledge of audio editing software and color grading.
Understanding of social media platforms and their video specifications.
