We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and proficiency in video editing software. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the company's vision and is suitable for broadcasting. You will work closely with the content creation team to produce high-quality video content that engages our audience and enhances our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, compelling videos for various platforms including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Post-Production: Perform tasks such as color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
- Collaboration: Work with the creative team to understand project scope, objectives, and timelines. Collaborate on storyboard creation and provide input on creative direction.
- Asset Management: Organize and manage all video assets, ensuring that files are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Quality Control: Review final video outputs for errors and ensure that the final product meets the required specifications and quality standards.
- Content Optimization: Adapt video content for different platforms, ensuring that each video meets the specific requirements and best practices of each platform (e.g., aspect ratio, duration, file size).
- Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in video production and editing. Suggest and implement new ideas to improve video quality and engagement.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in video editing or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- Creative Skills: Strong storytelling skills with an eye for detail, pacing, and rhythm. Ability to create visually appealing content that captures the audience's attention.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio: A demo reel or portfolio showcasing your video editing work is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with animation and motion graphics.
- Knowledge of sound design and audio editing.
- Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
- Experience working in a marketing or advertising environment.
- Understanding of SEO and video marketing best practices.
Work Environment
- This position may require occasional travel for on-site shoots.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
