Job Description:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to ensure transparent and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services.
- Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- Prepare and present reports, budgets, and forecasts related to purchasing activities to senior management.
- Assess risk factors to ensure minimum cost exposure to Business and take appropriate action to ensure exposure is kept to an absolute minimum
- Hire, Lead, and manage the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Skills & Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a NBFC.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and driving cost savings initiatives
