Essential capabilities
- Draft, review and negotiate several types of Information Technology agreements involving purchase, procurement, use, license, maintenance, development of software, networking, infrastructure, telecommunications, IT security, cloud services, acquisition of IT resources and other related IT services; Examples- Software Development Contracts, IT Support Contracts; Open source contracts, Software as a Service (SAAS) & Infrastructure as a service agreements, hardware purchase agreements; agreements related to block chain technology and artificial intelligence, information technology outsourcing agreements and proof of concepts.
- Ability to train the team in the efficient use of legal information sources to perform their research work effectively.
- Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods and other related matters.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills along with strong attention to detail.
- Broad range of interpersonal and relationship management skills to support and enable positive outcomes for our customers.
- Ability to problem solve, act autonomously and with sound judgment.
- High level computer literacy, including demonstrated experience with word processing functions using Microsoft Office package and the use of databases and customer request management systems and an ability to learn new systems
- Excellent drafting and research skills.
Experience & Qualification Requirements
- Managing teams to deliver to a high standard and within the required timeframes. Desirable to have experience with the process of establishing a new team.
- 10+ years of overall experience.
- Responsible for end-to-end contract review process established for Information Technology contracts
- Having understanding of laws and regulatory compliances required in (Australia and Europe) with ease on dealing with the legal teams in different geographies.
- Customer focus and strategic mindset.
- Bachelor of Laws degree is essential
