Job Overview:

The VP Finance will oversee all financial operations of Orios Venture Partners, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and strategic analysis. This is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in venture capital, private equity, or the financial services sector and a deep understanding of fund accounting, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Internal (Fund & AMC):

• Oversee all accounting functions.
• Ensure timely statutory payments and filing of returns (Income Tax, TDS, GST, Service Tax, Professional Tax, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, LLP Act, AIF & SEBI regulations.
• Manage compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST, FEMA/RBI, and other applicable laws.
• Review quarterly and annual reports for Trustees.
• Oversee half-yearly and annual financial reporting.
• Review quarterly/half-yearly unaudited and annual audited valuation reports.
• Supervise PPM audits under SEBI and Tax Audits under IT Act.
• Oversee tax return filings (IT, TDS, FATCA, GST, FEMA, etc.).
• Liaise with auditors, valuers, law firms, bankers, and government departments.
• Manage cash flow and treasury operations.
• Generate timely management reports.
• Implement new processes, internal controls, and cost-saving measures.

External (Portfolio Entities/Investors):

• Review IC minutes and coordinate documentation with Trustees.
• Lead due diligence processes (legal & financial).
• Structure deals and review/document definitive agreements.
• Monitor post-investment performance of investee companies.
• Analyze portfolio companies MIS and financial audits.
• Address investor documentation and concerns.

Compliance:

• Maintain compliance with Accounting Standards (Indian/IFRS/US GAAP), Income Tax, TDS, GST, SEBI AIF regulations, and relevant corporate laws (Companies Act, LLP Act).

Requirements & Experience:

• B.Com + CA
• Over 14 years of experience, with at least 8 years in a fund management role.
• Familiarity with AIF regulations (preferred).
• Exposure to technology sectors is advantageous.
• Strong initiative, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
