Responsibilities and duties
- General practice veterinary work including outpatient consultations, diagnostic tests, treatment procedures, surgery and anesthesia, inpatient management, prescriptions and medical record keeping.
- Supervision and training of veterinary nurses and other staff
- Providing feedback to improve the hospital's electronic medical records and other systems
- Continuous learning to keep up to date with the latest knowledge and techniques
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the job quality
- Reporting and discussing any changes that may be required to existing policies and procedures to improve our medical service
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the situation, including other miscellaneous tasks related to medical operations (stock management, communication with pharmaceutical sales representatives, communication with external laboratory personnel, etc)
Qualifications and skills
- Veterinary degree required
- Knowledge and experience of basic soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, including spay and neuter, is desirable
- Be flexible in responding to situations (e.g. dealing with multiple consultations or patients depending on the urgency of the case or waiting time for test results)
- Have a sense of responsibility for your role
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with others, no matter who they are (e.g. nurses, technicians, and variety of customers)
