Job Description: Purple Teamer
We are seeking a talented Purple Team Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The Purple
Team Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization. cybersecurity defences
by performing collaborative purple team and red team exercises. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in offensive and defensive security strategies, with expertise in
Python and Bash scripting for automated security testing and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Conduct purple team exercises to simulate advanced cyber threats and assess overall
security effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with Red Team members to develop and execute realistic attack
scenarios.
Work with Blue Team members to analyse defensive capabilities and identify areas
for improvement.
Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating security testing, penetration
testing, and vulnerability assessment.
Utilize Bash scripting for log analysis, system monitoring, and incident response
automation.
Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on findings from purple team
and red team exercises.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best
practices.
Participate in incident response activities as part of the cybersecurity incident
response team.
Requirements:
2-3 years of proven experience in conducting purple team and red team activities in a
cybersecurity role.
Expertise in Python scripting for security tool development, automation, and data
analysis.
Proficiency in Bash scripting for system administration, log analysis, and automation.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, techniques, and best practices.
Experience with security assessment tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp
Suite, Nmap).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively in cross-functional teams.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, any
degree or equivalent experience.
Certifications in Python scripting and Bash scripting, CEH are highly desirable.
