The Global Operations Engineering team is a new team setup to solve complex problems within Pall's manufacturing and operations function. This is an exciting time to join this new team to help shape the future of Pall's manufacturing and operations functions.
This position is part of the Global Engineering Operations team and will be located in Pune, India.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) studies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased value.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to gather data and insights on existing products and processes.
- Analyse product design, materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions and design modifications that enhance product functionality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify alternative materials, components, or manufacturing methods that offer cost and quality advantages.
- Conduct value engineering workshops and facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for cost reduction and value enhancement.
- Create detailed reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and cost-saving opportunities to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of VAVE initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay updated with Danaher VAVE methodologies, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical) with 7-9 yrs of relevant experience. Masters will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in value analysis, value engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills to drive VAVE initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Experience of working in Global organisations, multi cultural teams and matrix organisation.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
- Knowledge of cost analysis techniques, financial metrics, and ROI calculations.
- Continuous improvement in a manufacturing industry
