Job Description:

Kotak Bank is seeking a highly experienced Principal UX Designer to join our team. As a Principal UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the user experience across our digital platforms. You will be responsible for leading the design efforts, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent core visual and/or interaction design skills, with a strong focus on technical capabilities in prototyping, front-end presentation technology, and user-centered design methods.
  • Design and develop components, patterns, and system-level attributes using gestalt principles, ensuring consistency and coherence in the user experience.
  • Possess a deep understanding of design systems and proficiency in working within them. Additionally, have the ability to build and expand systems based on specific use cases.
  • Identify and clarify relationships between patterns, making informed decisions that support future flexibility and scalability.
  • Infuse meaning into designs with a high level of polish, consistently delivering visually appealing and engaging user experiences.
  • Ensure clear visual hierarchy across entire views, multiple views, and touchpoints, guiding users seamlessly through our digital products.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to align design objectives with business goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • 3-10 years of proven experience in UX design, with a focus on core visual and/or interaction design skills.
  • Strong technical capabilities in prototyping, front-end presentation technology, and user-centered design methods.
  • Ability to design components, patterns, and system-level attributes using gestalt principles.
  • Proficiency in working within design systems and the ability to build and expand systems based on use cases.
  • Skill in identifying and clarifying relationships between patterns to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Ability to make decisions that support future flexibility and scalability.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality designs with an emphasis on visual polish and attention to detail.
  • Experience in establishing clear visual hierarchy across views and touchpoints.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
