Description
We are seeking a Utility Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and repair of all utility equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, as well as experience in managing a team of maintenance technicians. The candidate should also have a keen eye for detail and be able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure all utility equipment is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase equipment lifespan.
- Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the utility systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 3-10 years of experience in utility maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Experience in managing a team of maintenance technicians
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software
