Develop a deep understanding of internal and external users and how they will integrate our Common Services APIs and building blocks into their systems.
Ensure the systems and processes for integrating the platform products are user-friendly, with clear, well-documented interfaces and intuitive usability for developers.
Maintain strong technical knowledge to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and understand product complexities and limitations.
Collect and integrate user feedback to continuously improve the design and functionality for the GCP products.
Uphold high standards of design and user experience for tools and documentation, ensuring product consistency and quality.
Work closely with other members of the product team to develop a unified vision for the product.
Present proposed UX solutions to internal stakeholders and subject matter experts for review
Collaborate with Product Owners and engineering delivery teams to ensure proposed UX solutions are sufficiently defined and properly executed
Work within an Agile development environment as the local UX champion in terms of design planning and UX process integration
Collaborate with a globally distributed customer experience (CX) organization including: User Experience (UX), User Assistance (UA), Translation, Training, and Demo & Sim teams
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in human-computer interaction, human factors engineering/psychology, or similar field of study
At least 5 years of professional experience in UX, human factors, or engineering psychology
Strong background in user-centered design process and best practices
Experience with independently conducting user research, experimental and usability design methods, data analysis and leveraging the data to inform design strategy
Comfortable working with global cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder s needs
Experience with user testing, validation, and the iterative design process
Geospatial and/or earthmoving industry experience is a plus
