REPORTING RELATIONSHIP-
POSITION REPORTS TO: MANAGER FINANCE/ACCOUNTING
DEPARTMENT: QSF ACCOUNTING
POSITION LOCATION: VADODARA, INDIA
POSITION SUMMARY-
Senior Accountant will assist the Manager in the management of regulatory compliance related to Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs) including designing and implementing scalable processes to accommodate company growth. The position plays a key role in ensuring timely regulatory compliance of all QSFs as well as maintaining proper documentation on policies and procedures relating to tax and compliance. The position will also be responsible for bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, and all other accounting activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
Working on 468B Trust regulatory compliance, including Federal Tax Returns and 1099s for all QSFs
Provide support for Escheatment process, as required
Handle high volume of transactions with utmost accuracy within prescribed timelines.
Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions
Performs reconciliations and analysis of ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy
Maintain accurate historical records and documentation for audit support
Prepare reporting for internal and external use on a routine or ad-hoc basis
Supporting & coordinating with on shore team based out of overseas offices
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team
Understand and adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to security, trade secrets and confidentiality of all information
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE -
Graduation (Bachelors) in Business, Accounting or Finance; Masters degree will be an advantage
5+ years of work experience including 2-3 years in US/UK Accounting and Federal tax compliance
experience required in BPO/KPO/ITES industries
Strong understanding of internal controls
Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is strongly preferred
Exposure to other popular accounting applications such as Tally, QuickBooks
Experience with Microsoft Office, including excellent Excel skills
Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills
Experience using ERP accounting systems as well as QuickBooks and/or Oracle NetSuite preferred
Ability to design and documenting processes
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal with problem solving ability
Strong attention to detail
