Overview:
The Human Resources Operations Specialist will execute specific projects and perform transactional duties for the Human Resources team. This role will partner with the entire HR Organization to support programs and create tools to improve processes that will enhance the team member experience and culture at ConvergeOne. The Human Resources Operations Specialist must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate and efficient results.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Supports HR-related projects and initiatives with effective and efficient execution
Works in partnership with strategic business partners to facilitate HR programs, company-wide services and programs, rollouts of new initiatives, and changes to policies and procedures
Coordinates new hire onboarding including pre-employment communications, processing background and drug screens, completion of Form I-9, and partnering with IT to communicate access and equipment needs
Supports contingent workforce management including onboarding, information changes, and offboarding
Coordinates customer specific HR onboarding requirements
Collects and compiles HR data, metrics, and statistics to prepare presentations for monthly leadership meetings
Responds to and completes HR sections of RFPs and partner questionnaires
Executes HR compliance + engagement reporting including:
Affirmative Action Plans, EEO, and Vets
Census + Bureau of Labor Statistics Surveys
Annual Employee Engagement Surveys
Scans and retrieves employee electronic personnel files and maintains relationship with vendor
Maintains HR compliance training system and coordinates annual course assignments
Supports the offboarding of departing team members by ensuring all paperwork and records are accurately processed
Manages poster compliance for physical offices and remote workers
Prepares severance and retention agreements and processes signed agreements
Processes referral awards
Researches changes in laws and regulations, interprets their potential impact to the organization, and effectively brings them to the attention of the stakeholders; drafts policy, processes and procedures to proactively improve our compliance posture
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to positively impact continued improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
Plans events including HR team lunches and company breakfasts/lunches on an ad hoc basisQualifications:
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of Human Resources experience (i.e. HR Operations, Benefits, Recruiting, HRIS)
Excellent technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Must have experience with moderate to advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
Must be comfortable developing, designing, and editing PowerPoint presentations
Experience implementing automation projects a plus
Data-driven and analytical
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately
Interpersonal effectiveness, especially relationship cohesiveness within a team
Excellent communication skills including excellent writing skills, and experience in creating and delivering presentations to HR professionals and executives
Ability to manage and lead multiple projects
Ability to perform work with quick turnaround and able to handle sensitive matters requiring discretion and confidentiality
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred with business or HR emphasis
Experience with Compliance Reporting
Demonstrated ability to conduct research and articulate a concise summary of key issues tailored to the audience
Demonstrated ability to design processes and programs that align with how the business operates
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification
