Job Summary:
The Federal Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates for federal government positions. This role requires in-depth knowledge of federal hiring regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and attract candidates for federal government positions through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates in accordance with federal hiring standards.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates qualifications and suitability for specific roles.
- Coordinate with hiring managers and government agency representatives to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Provide guidance to candidates on the federal hiring process, including application requirements and interview procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in compliance with federal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in federal hiring regulations and policies to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to streamline recruitment processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and outreach activities to promote federal employment opportunities.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in federal recruitment or a similar role, with a solid understanding of federal hiring regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Certification in federal recruitment or human resources (e.g., CFR, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience working with diverse populations and promoting inclusivity in recruitment practices.
