Job Summary:

The Federal Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates for federal government positions. This role requires in-depth knowledge of federal hiring regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Source and attract candidates for federal government positions through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  2. Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates in accordance with federal hiring standards.
  3. Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates qualifications and suitability for specific roles.
  4. Coordinate with hiring managers and government agency representatives to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  5. Provide guidance to candidates on the federal hiring process, including application requirements and interview procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in compliance with federal regulations.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in federal hiring regulations and policies to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment process.
  8. Collaborate with HR colleagues to streamline recruitment processes and improve efficiency.
  9. Participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and outreach activities to promote federal employment opportunities.
  10. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in federal recruitment or a similar role, with a solid understanding of federal hiring regulations and procedures.
  3. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
  8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  9. Certification in federal recruitment or human resources (e.g., CFR, PHR) is a plus.
  10. Experience working with diverse populations and promoting inclusivity in recruitment practices.
