Job Description for Centre Head Centre for Water and Sanitation( PHD IN URBAN PLANNING MANADATORY)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for deepening knowledge in their Centre's domain and dissipating this knowledge widely within University Responsible for acquiring and executing projects for their Centers

Ensuring an excellent level of technical quality on research and advisory projects, comparable with the best in the country and internationally.

Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within the decided budgetary aspects.

Responsible for ensuring clear and transparent financial accounting on all projects either directly or with assistance from CRDF Project Managers

Responsible for ensuring proper contracts on all projects either directly or with assistance from CRDF Project Managers

Providing monthly technical reports to VC CRDF on the activities of the Centre

Providing monthly financial reports to VC CRDF either directly or with assistance from CRDF Project Managers and Centre Finance Managers

Overseeing all HR matters related to Centers, including recruitment, welfare and departure of project staff and RAs in accordance with CRDF procedures

Overseeing sub-consultants in accordance with CRDF procedures

Contribute to education at University in a tangible manner

Enhancement and deepening of knowledge within the Centers domain.

The Centre should become a self-sustaining Research and Advisory Business which generates and contributes funds required for their growth.

Capacity to steer the Centre in becoming self-sustained.

Training and mentoring of the Deputy in command to drive the Centre successfully

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A relevant academic qualification from a reputed university in India or overseas.
• Candidate holding a PhDin the area of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene or any other similar subject.
• Min. 15 yearsof experience in academic and professional practice required
