We are seeking a high-energy, motivated and detail-oriented Urban Designer - Roads to join our team, focusing on urban road design & location surveying. You will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using softwares, playing a crucial role in bringing our urban design projects to life.
Develop comprehensive urban designs that enhance mobility, safety, social, environmental & aesthetic quality of urban roads.- Create detailed design drawings 2D and 3D, models, and renderings including street designs, intersections, infrastructure plans, road markings and traffic signage using software tools.
Create precise roadway layouts, cross-sections, and profiles using Civil 3D software.
- Conduct urban location surveys to gather accurate data on existing infrastructure, topography, land use and utilities.
Collaborate with surveyors, urban planners, transport planners, and traffic engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into precise technical drawings.- Perform calculations and analysis as needed to ensure drawings meet design standards and specifications.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Prepare presentations and reports using MS Suite.- Maintain and update existing CAD libraries and standards.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in CAD software and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Urban Design / Civil Engineering / Architecture or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in urban road design, urban location surveying and traffic engineering.
Proficiency in leading CAD software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads or similar applications.- Proficiency in design softwares such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and GIS applications.
Experience using drone-based surveying and data processing tools (e.g., Pix4D, Litchi, DroneDeploy) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of urban design principles and standards & excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
