Roles & Responsibilities:
- A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
- The UX designer is responsible for creating innovative solutions for a wide variety of product platform design. challenges including mobile, desktop, hardware interfaces, physical environments, and person-to-person interactions.
- Create satisfying, compelling experiences for users of a product platform; often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis.
- Monitors user experience and ensures that websites, software programs and product platforms are both appealing and easy for customers to use.
- Assists with the design for new experiences and improvements of existing experiences by developing and maintaining detailed user-interface specifications.
- Plans and defines strategy for the direction of future iterations or sprints and quickly iterates on multiple interactive design solutions and works through details.
- Advocates for design solutions, highlighting inputs that influenced the decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.
- Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Presents design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.
- Delivers work that's not only user-friendly, aesthetically engaging, but which also produces results.
Must Require Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
- A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
- Experience in a highly Agile/scrum environment working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
- Familiarity with wireframing software such as Figma, Uizard, Microsoft Visio, Adobe InDesign or Axure.
- Familiarity with design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InVision.
- Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Experience in HTML/CSS and JavaScript a plus

- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

- Ability to interact and work with employees at all levels in the organization including business units.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-specialists.

Education:
- Science Background is Preferred.
- Concentrations in visual design, communications, computer science or related is a plus.
- Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus.
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
