We are seeking a talented and experienced Embedded System Engineer who is passionate about research to join our growing team. The Embedded System Trainer will provide training for graduates who wish to learn embedded system aspects of robotics to develop their skills and knowledge as Embedded System Engineers within Genrobotics Advanced Robotic Research and Learning Centre.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Equip the students with the necessary expertise in embedded system principles specifically relevant to robotics.
- Develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges in robotics.
- Cultivate effective collaboration skills to work seamlessly with other engineers and researchers.
Key Skills
- Understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and digital signal processors.
- Familiarity with various embedded system architectures.
- Knowledge of 32/16/8bit microcontrollers
- Proficiency in languages commonly used in embedded systems such as C, C+, and Assembly.
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for test automation.
- Experience with RTOS concepts and implementations such as FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux.
- Hands-on experience with hardware design, circuit analysis, and interfacing.
- Familiarity with electronic components, sensors, and actuators.
- Proficiency with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such Arduino IDE, STMCube IDE or VS CODE
- Proficiency with PCB design software KiCad .
- Proficiency with circuit drawing software Autocad.
- Use of debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Understanding of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth and USB.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Proficiency in MATLAB is an advantage.
- Skills in writing and executing test plans.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems projects, including design, development, and deployment.
- Exposure to various industry applications of embedded systems (e.g., automotive, healthcare, IoT).
