As a Casino Gaming Trainee, your primary role is to learn and assist in various aspects of casino gaming operations. You will receive training in game rules, procedures, and customer service to ensure that you can provide an enjoyable and safe experience for players.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning and understanding the rules and procedures of various casino games, such as blackjack, poker, roulette, and baccarat etc.
- Assisting players with their bets, payouts, and other inquiries to ensure they have a positive experience.
- Observing and reporting any suspicious activity or behavior to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintaining a clean and organized gaming area.
- Learning and using computerized systems to record game transactions and payouts.
- Assisting with the setup and teardown of games and equipment.
- Following all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service to players at all times.
- Participating in training sessions and continuing education programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- Min HSSC pass, diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in gaming may be preferred.
- Excellent math skills, including the ability to quickly and accurately calculate bets and payouts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and complaints effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with other dealers and casino staff.
