Job Description:-
- Work closely with the software development and product teams to deliver high quality, scalable products deployed around the world.
- Work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones.
- Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise
contingency plans.
- Assemble and coordinate with the teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team.
- Drive various initiatives for Paytm Merchant Ecosystem with the Product team to define the roadmap.
- Develop and deliver progress reports.
- Overall a project manager with good technical (backend, frontend and database)
background along with project management and cross location team management skills.
- Effectively execute communication management and project health checks.
Key skills :
- Ability to understand the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage
complex projects with significant bottom line impact.
- Ability to work with product managers in developing a strategy and roadmap
- Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder
management and tracking of external commitments
- 6+ years of Software Development experience; 5+ years of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams
- Deep hands-on technical expertise
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
- Able to work with Cross functional teams
- Knowledge of JIRA or Similar tools
- Ability to work under high-pressure and agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
