About the Job: As a Tool Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing various tools and fixtures essential for efficient manufacturing processes. You will focus on creating high-quality, reliable tooling that supports our fabrication, machining, and assembly operations. The role will involve close collaboration with other engineers to create solutions that improve productivity, safety, and precision.
What You'll Do:
- Design and develop fixtures, lifting tackles, positioners, hydraulic fixtures, weld adaptors, hand tools, pallets, and jigs.
- Use Creo software to create precise and innovative tool designs.
- Develop fabrication fixtures, including tack welding, full welding fixtures, and templates.
- Design machining and assembly fixtures to streamline manufacturing processes.
- Create transport elements such as dollies, pallets, and stacking racks to facilitate efficient material handling.
- Design and qualify inspection gauges (pass-through and inspection gauges) for quality assurance.
- Contribute to the development of special-purpose machines if applicable.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in tool design, ideally with a background in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Proficiency in Creo is essential for this role.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in designing fixtures for fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Experience designing transport and material handling elements.
- Knowledge of qualifying and inspection gauges.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering (BE or equivalent).
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to designing practical, high-quality tools and fixtures.
