The Compliance Manager supports the client's Business Affairs team in the collation of cleared third party content and facilitating the review of this cleared content against a set of criteria, which is prescribed by the client. Through this process they help to ensure that the final marketing communication material, across a number of markets, is compliant to the local market advertising laws and cultural nuances.

The Compliance Manager benefits from experience working with IP rights, including copyright, trademark and licencing, and they have a strong eye for detail.

They will need to be able to work in a high paced environment with tight deadlines whilst still delivering work to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Collation and Review
  • Work with client BA team to track content requirements by project
  • Collate and organize cleared content for client review
  • Cross-check supplied cleared content against a set of criteria to ensure compliance with local market advertising laws and cultural nuances.
  • Provide alternative suggestions relevant to briefs, based on client criteria.
  • Review all comps, and ensure they match cleared assets.
  • Gather clearance requests and prioritize for client review.
  • Utilizing client rights management systems, ensure that assets are accurately tracked and available to be shared across key stakeholders.
  • Content and Brand knowledge
  • Develop and maintain database of clearance information and any other relevant updates and information, based on client criteria.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of client clearance criteria and client brand guidelines
  • Client Management
  • Work with clients for their final review and approval.
  • Support clients with internal stakeholder management to obtain required content approvals
  • Provide monthly tracking reports to clients for all assets cleared
  • Keep client informed with timely updates, and any circumstance which may have an impact on project delivery, with potential solutions.
  • Content Production team Management
    • Keep Content Production team leads informed with same updates and ensure swift resolution of challenges to avoid further escalation.
    • Deliver final approved content to Content Production teams for implementation.
    • General
      • Manage a high-volume workload, including multiple language versions.
      • Support the training of newer team members.
    Requirements:

    • A degree or diploma and/or at least 10 years of relevant experience within the advertising or entertainment industry.
    • Flexible, solution-oriented individual with knowledge of IP rights, including copyright, trademark and licensing in the area of entertainment or advertising law, with emphasis on digital content and technology.
    • Fluent in both oral and written English, as well as the local language of the Geo.
    • Demonstrated skills in drafting and reviewing licensing agreements.
    • Highly collaborative, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to deal with rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
    • Exceptional organizational prioritization and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Successful in working in a creatively driven organization.
    • Extensive up-to-date industry knowledge on licensing issues in a wide variety of media, including print and digital.
    • A good team player and able to work accurately under pressure.
    • Ability to adapt to the company's way of working after training.
    • Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude.
    • Accurate, excellent memory and an eye for detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, creative and production environment.
    • Flexibility is key to this role as well as working beyond the 9:00-18:00 framework and occasionally at weekends (compensated for).
    • Must be able to work on-site at the client office when required.
