Key Responsibilities
Instructional Excellence:
- Conduct comprehensive theatre sessions that covers acting techniques, voice and movement, script analysis, and stage production, tailored for students of varying skill levels
- Provide individual and group feedback to students, honing their performance skills while fostering a supportive environment that values each student's artistic journey
Showcase Ownership:
- Direct plays and skits, managing all aspects from casting to final performance, ensuring a professional and enriching experience for both the students and the audience
- Oversee technical and design elements of productions, collaborating with students and staff to create visually compelling and thematically powerful performances
Student Progress & Development:
- Monitor and track student progress in theatre and offer tailored interventions for students to grow in the field
- Encourage students to explore a broad range of theatrical styles and genres, from classical to contemporary, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of the art form
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: At least two years of experience teaching theatre, with a strong background in directing, acting, and production management
- Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of theatre history, theory, and practice, along with proficiency in directing a diverse repertoire of theatrical works
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and community members
