Job Summary:
moCal Payroll, a division of Moris Media, is seeking a skilled and passionate Test Engineer to join our growing team! In this exciting work-from-home position, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our payroll system.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve defects in the moCal payroll system.
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into clear and concise test cases.
- Utilize automation tools and methodologies to streamline the testing process.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve bugs efficiently.
- Document test results and maintain detailed test records.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and best practices.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly the testing phase.
- Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with developers and other teams.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
- Experience working with payroll systems is a plus.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
