Job Description: Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and planning the introduction of testing equipment and tooling for trial production projects. They will also maintain tooling and fixtures for testing equipment in mass production projects, focusing on improving units per hour (UPH) and reducing error rates.

The candidate will be responsible for organizing and refining testing processes, compiling technical documentation, establishing baselines for fixture equipment, and addressing technical challenges. They will review key parameters, thresholds, and inspection methods for critical-to-quality (CTQ) aspects of testing equipment tooling.

In addition, the Test Engineer will provide training on testing-related knowledge and techniques to testing assistants and technicians and offer technical guidance on-line testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and plan the introduction of testing equipment and tooling for trial production projects.
2. Maintain tooling and fixtures for testing equipment in mass production projects, improve UPH, and reduce error rates.
3. Organize and refine testing processes, compile technical documentation, establish baselines for fixture equipment, and address technical challenges.
4. Review key parameters, thresholds, and inspection methods for CTQ aspects of testing equipment tooling.
5. Provide training on testing-related knowledge and techniques to testing assistants and technicians and offer technical guidance on-line testing processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a test engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and train a team of technicians and testing assistants.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
