The Role: Test Automation Engineer
The Test automation Engineer is a key member of Services group at Irdeto and is responsible for automating the test cases for Irdeto multiple product lines viz CA, MW, OTT. He/She is responsible for developing the automation scripts required for Set Top Boxes , mobile devices , smart TV and web. The role works closely with Test Lead, Test Manager, Integration Engineers and Project Manager to ensure the deliverables are as per the requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Basic understanding of test frameworks and tools.
- Development, Validation, maintenance of Automation scripts.
- Configure and maintain test automation tools and setup.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Work in an agile development process
What we're looking for:
- Proficiency with Python for writing automation scripts.
- Familiarity with Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) and Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) standards used in STB middleware.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Witbe/StormTest, for STB and Selenium/Appium for mobile application testing would be plus.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies, specifically Agile and Scrum.
- Knowledge of Git for version control during software development.
- Experience in STB middleware automation focusing on UI responsiveness, system performance, and endurance testing.
- Basic understanding of video streaming OTT applications and their performance metrics.
