This role calls for technically and commercially challenging task by preparing tender to support our customers and the sales team throughout the sales process. Detailed scope of work as below:
- Review inquiry documents/specifications from customer and prepares quality quotations on time for Sulzer Pumps products using current tendering tools & procedures independently / with guidance of superiors.
- Identification of commercial and technical risks of projects in the tender stage involving the specialized agencies and development of approaches to minimize them in the case of an order.
- Ability to read and understand customer specific requirements on inquiries and purchase orders. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sectional drawings, engineered bill of materials.
- Obtaining sub-vendors quotations, and interpret it technically align with customer's specifications.
- Involvements with customer / End user regarding answer to their questions/ queries.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing facilities and sales teams globally for the development of winning bids in line with the business strategy with our Business Unit.
- Participation in sales negotiations with their preparation and follow-up in cooperation with the sales department. Updating and maintaining global Tools log.
- Work under supervision / guidance of the Senior Tendering Specialist in regard to decision making, as authorized by department policy.
- Ensuring the complete and successful submission of the order to the settlement.
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties as assigned.
- Exhibits positive, proactive and professional interaction with peers, coworkers, suppliers and customers.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, acting as inside sales by exploring opportunities for new business.
- Performs other duties as assigned efficiently.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience of preparing proposals for rotating equipment packages for the Oil & Gas Industry Segment.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, applications, and hydraulics and selections. knowledge of other rotating equipment's is an added advantage.
- Experience in oil and gas industry including relevant standard API-610 specifications is must.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Ability to proactively organize and meet deadlines.
- Be able to work with internal and external customers under demanding conditions.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to learn pumps and its applications, drivers and other factored goods and retain and build on such knowledge.
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and ESH Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
