Tender Executive and Market Intelligence AnalystNobtech Enterprise is a leading manufacturer of submersible pumps and related equipment, based in Mumbai, India. We are actively expanding our presence in government projects, with a focus on schemes such as PM KUSUM Yojana Component-B and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), while also exploring export opportunities.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tender and Market Intelligence Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the management, this role is crucial in identifying and pursuing tender opportunities, as well as providing ongoing market intelligence to guide our product development and business growth strategies.
Tender Management (Primary Focus - 70% of role):
- Utilise tools like BidAssist to monitor and identify relevant government tenders
Analyse tender requirements and assess our company's ability to fulfil them- Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare competitive bid responses
Maintain a comprehensive database of tender submissions, outcomes, and lessons learned
- Continuously refine the tender identification and submission process
Suggest and implement improvements to increase tender win rates- Stay updated on changes in government procurement policies and procedures
Ensure all tender submissions comply with regulatory requirements
- Market Intelligence Gathering (Secondary Focus - 30% of role):
- Conduct ongoing market intelligence using a combination of domestic and international sources:
Domestic: Government databases (MOSPI, ministry reports), industry associations (IPMA, CII, FICCI), market research reports (IBEF), news aggregators- International: Platforms such as Volza for export market data
Regularly analyse government annual budgets, industry reports, and other relevant sources
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the pump and water management sector
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry conferences to gather market insights and network with key stakeholders- Analyse patterns and trends in government tenders across different states
Gather insights from customer and dealer feedback
- Monitor competitors annual reports, press releases, and product launches
Track relevant social media channels for real-time industry insights- Identify potential new product opportunities based on market demand and government initiatives
Prepare periodic market intelligence reports for management, synthesising insights from both domestic and international sources
- Assist in identifying potential new markets or opportunities for existing products
Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on new product development- Help identify potential partnerships or collaborations that could enhance our market position
- Stakeholder Communication and Networking:
- Liaise with government officials to gather information on upcoming projects
Maintain relationships with key industry contacts to stay informed about market developments
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
Collaborate with management to share market insights and align strategies
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on tender status and market insights
Prepare presentations for management on market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities
- Analyse the potential impact of market trends and regulatory changes on our business
Contribute to the development of strategic business growth initiatives
- Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus- 2-5 years of experience in tender management and/or market intelligence, preferably in the manufacturing or infrastructure sector
Proven track record of successful tender submissions and wins
- Proficiency in tender management tools like BidAssist
Familiarity with market intelligence platforms- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously- Familiarity with government procurement processes
Knowledge of the pump industry and rural development schemes is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel for trade shows and meetings
Familiarity with Indian government databases and industry association reports- Experience in analysing both domestic and international market trends
Ability to synthesise information from diverse sources into coherent, actionable insights
