We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telecom Field Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the laying and trenching of Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) in various project sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the laying and trenching of OFC as per project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed project plans, including resource allocation and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards at all project sites.
- Monitor the progress of projects and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation process.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of project activities, including daily reports, site logs, and material usage.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and field staff.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in OFC technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in telecom field engineering, with a focus on OFC laying and trenching.
- Strong knowledge of OFC installation techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
