Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, and product managers) to understand application requirements and design effective test strategies.

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.

Functional and Non-Functional Testing:

Conduct end-to-end testing of applications related to services assurance, including:

Ethernet Services: Validate Ethernet service provisioning, activation, and fault management.

Wave Services: Verify optical wave services and wavelength provisioning & fault management.

SIP Trunking: Test SIP-based voice services and interoperability.

NGSIP (Next-Generation SIP): Validate advanced SIP features and scalability.

VCT (Virtual Circuit Testing): Ensure circuit-switched services work seamlessly.

IP Access/IP Transit: Verify IP connectivity, routing, and security.

IPVPN (IP Virtual Private Network): Test secure VPN services (Provisioning, fault Monitoring)

Security Offerings: Validate DDoS protection, ANS (Application Network Security), and MSS (Managed Security Services) firewall functionality.

Regression Testing and Automation:

Execute regression tests to ensure existing features remain unaffected by new releases.

Automate test cases using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) to improve efficiency and coverage.

Performance and Scalability Testing:

Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing to assess system performance under varying conditions.

Identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.

Defect Management:

Log defects accurately, including detailed steps to reproduce issues.

Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and verify fixes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed test documentation, including test matrices, test data, and test environment setup.

Generate test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, testing methodologies, and emerging technologies.

Contribute to process improvements within the testing team.

Certifications (preferred):

ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)

Agile/Scrum certifications

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in application testing.

Familiarity with OSS/BSS (Business Support Systems) concepts is a plus.

Exposure to telecom/networking domains is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong understanding of testing methodologies (manual and automated).

Good to have Telecom Network concepts (understanding Network Setups and its fault monitoring concepts).

Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) for test automation.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
