Position Title: Tekla Checker

The Tekla Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy and completeness of Tekla Structures models and drawings. This role ensures that all structural designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements.
Model and Drawing Review:
- Check 3D models created in Tekla Structures for accuracy and completeness.
Verify that all elements are correctly modeled according to project specifications and engineering standards.- Review and mark up fabrication and erection drawings generated from Tekla models.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all models and drawings meet the required quality standards.
Identify and report any discrepancies, errors, or omissions in the models and drawings.- Provide feedback and suggest corrections to drafters and modelers.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and drafters to resolve issues and ensure consistency in the models and drawings.
Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address any concerns related to Tekla modeling and checking.Documentation and Reporting
: Maintain records of all checks performed and issues identified.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide recommendations for corrections.
Document best practices and standard procedures for Tekla checking.Continuous Improvement
: Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in Tekla Structures and related software.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
Experience
:Minimum of 3-6 years
of experience working with Tekla Structures in a similar role. Proven experience in checking and reviewing structural steel models and drawings.
Proficient in Tekla Structures software.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and fabrication processes.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
