What you'll do...
Technology Support Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance of software applications in a dynamic environment. This role involves collaborating with the team members to effectively triage and resolve production issues. The engineer's role is to take a proactive approach to ensure optimal application performance and provide dedicated support.
About Team:
Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience. Within EBS, our team processes the payment for suppliers of Walmart Warehouses who spread across United States and other 26 countries including South Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico. We ensure the timely and accurate payments by reconciling the supplier merchandise against the invoices presented for the items ordered.
What you'll do:
- Under the supervision of a senior engineer you will provide software application support to ensure applications remain healthy at all times.
- You will analyse software application functionality and suggest improvements.
- You will ensure the effective front-end and back end functionality of applications.
- You will consult with the software development team, internal users and clients to enhance application performance.
- You will manage code migration across environments to maintain continued and synchronized functionality.
- You will identify the root causes of application errors and escalate serious concerns to the technical leader.
- You will keep a record of configuration changes and schedule application updates and document process and monitor application performance metrics.
- You will provide front end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
What you'll bring:
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar with 1+ years of experience.
- Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of Java, Springboot, Microservices ,NodeJs.
- Hands-on Knowledge on automation tools and technologies, Scripting languages
- Hand-on knowledge on Cloud technologies and serverless application deployment.
- Demonstrable experience as an Application Support Engineer in a related field.
- Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
- Exceptional ability to provide front end support to internal departments and clients.
- Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
- Ability to support certificate renewals and update configuration at application and data layers.
- Ability to keep up with innovation in application design.
- Exceptional communication skills.
