Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and maintain comprehensive documentation using DITA standards.
- Write user manuals, product guides, API documentation, FAQs, release notes, and other technical documents.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX designers to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation.
- Simplify complex technical concepts and jargon into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand product functionalities, user needs, and industry standards.
- Edit and proofread documents to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in technical writing and DITA.
- Review and revise content based on user feedback and product updates.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a documentation repository for easy access and retrieval.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software or technology industry.
- Strong experience and knowledge of DITA standards and best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong ability to comprehend and translate technical information into easily understandable content.
- Familiarity with documentation tools and software, such as:
- Oxygen XML Editor
- Xiasoft or any other CMS
- DITA Open Toolkit
- Confluence/Jira
- Basic understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience:
- Experience with cloud-based software solutions and tax compliance systems.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with agile development processes.
