Job Title: Technical Support Engineer (Maritime Satellite Communication)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with expertise in satellite communication and navigation systems, especially within the maritime industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, customer service abilities, and experience in network configurations and firewalls. The role focuses on providing top-tier support to customers, diagnosing technical issues, and ensuring smooth operation of satellite communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for satellite communication systems, including VSAT, Starlink, Certus, and others.
- Diagnose and resolve networking, firewall, and system configuration issues in a timely manner.
- Assist customers with system installations, configurations, and maintenance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring effective communication with customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and improve system performance.
- Document and escalate issues as needed to ensure quick resolution.
- Monitor systems and proactively identify potential issues.
- Train and guide customers on the usage of systems and network management.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven technical support and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer support and service skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Hands-on experience with networking, firewalls, and satellite communication systems in the maritime industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in the maritime industry, supporting satellite navigation and communication systems.
- Familiarity with satellite services and maritime regulations.
