As a Quality Engineer specializing in batteries, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of battery systems throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality standards, implement quality control processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Technical Quality Person from Lead Acid Battery Industry for Pre dispatch Inspections.
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System for battery manufacturing, covering all aspects of quality assurance and quality control.- Ensure that battery systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 26262, UL, IEC, and UN regulations.
Establish quality requirements for battery components and materials. Evaluate supplier performance, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and improve supplier quality.
- Define and implement incoming inspection procedures to verify the quality of incoming materials and components. Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure conformance to specifications.
Develop and implement process control methods to monitor key manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize statistical tools and techniques to analyze process data and drive process optimization.- Define test plans and procedures for evaluating battery performance, reliability, and safety. Conduct product validation tests and analyze test results to ensure compliance with design specifications and customer requirements.
Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints related to battery quality. Identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and track effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
- Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in the battery or electronics industry.
Familiarity with battery manufacturing processes, including cell assembly, electrode coating, cell formation, and pack assembly.- Experience with quality standards and regulations applicable to battery systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
* Certification as a Quality Engineer (e.g., CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Microsoft Office applications.
