Wissen Technology is now hiring Technical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Data Migration and Data Engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects in Agile environments and will play a key role in migrating our local data platform to a Common Data Platform. You will be responsible for leading teams, managing deliverables, and ensuring successful collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Location: Bangalore || Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering & Migration:
- Oversee the migration of the local data platform to the Common Data Platform using tools like Talent or Informatics.
- Identify and integrate various data sources (e.g., Consumer data, Subscription data) to build efficient data pipelines.
- Manage the Common Data Platform architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold Layers) to streamline data flow.
- Ensure the successful feeding of data to consumer systems via data pipelines.
- Manage dimension and fact tables, enabling data availability to consumers through data pipelines.
- Support both Technical QA and Business QA processes to ensure data integrity and project success.
- Technical Skills Management:
- Utilize key technical skills, including:
- Must: PySpark & SQL
- Should: Scripting (Python & Bash), AWS Knowledge, CI/CD ( Github Actions)
- Could: Terraform, Airflow, Medallion Architecture, Atlassian or Unity Catalog, Neptune or Neo4j
- Nice to Have: Databricks, DBT
- Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Manage deliverables, timelines, and resources while coordinating with team members across vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including source system and consumer system teams, to ensure seamless data integration and delivery.
- Interface with data source technical teams to gather necessary data and with data consumer technical teams to provide data as required .
- Support the deprecation of existing legacy systems, ensuring a smooth transition to the new Common Data Platform environment.
- Onboard business users to the new CDP environment, providing necessary training and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 9 years of experience in managing Data Migration and Data Engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical acumen, with hands-on experience in data engineering tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.
- Ability to join immediately and work from Chennai or Bangalore .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Databricks, DBT, and other data engineering tools is a plus.
- Certification in Agile project management or related areas.
