Job Description
Brief Description: Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) is responsible for establishing practices to enable the correct handling and usage of inventory data across the global business. This person will work closely with various teams to implement efficient operational processes as a result of regulatory changes and to ensure controls are in place.
Essential Key Responsibilities
- Understand the external regulatory and competitive landscape and the potential impact on D&B. Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team and D&B Legal Department to ensure positive outcomes for D&B.
- Monitor the effectiveness of D&B processes and controls required to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Work with local legal partners, Global Compliance, and other functional leaders to make sure that Compliance approval procedures are followed.
- Manage the implementation of business process changes through working with Legal, Data Team and Technology partners, and updating internal guidelines and policies in conjunction with the wider Enterprise Data Governance team.
- Oversea two developers working in India on Java and Informatica Test Data Management, and also develop programs and reports to make EDG and other business processes more efficient.
Education/Experience And Competencies
- At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager / Data Analyst in data, banking, insurance or similar industry and knowledge of how to navigate the corporate environment.
- Self-starter who doesn't need to rely on being told what to do at each stage of implementing process changes.
- Highly organized. Ability to coordinate effectively across multi-national teams whose priorities may be different from what is being asked.
- Have a technical background in data analysis and small-scale development with hands on experience of Java and Informatica, also using Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI and similar technologies a distinct advantage.
- Some experience of privacy laws and how they can impact different functions within an organization would also be an advantage.
