Job Title/Role: Technical Project Manager

Job Summary/Objective
As a Technology Project Manager, you will lead technology related projects and engagements through all phases including scope confirmation, requirement gathering, planning, and implementation. Minimizes exposure and risk on projects. Drives the execution of multifaceted technology initiatives in line with strategic plans and operating objectives. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.This includes detailed understanding of requirements, deliverables reviews, project milestones status, and final project outcome before passing to internal or external customers. Identifies project risks and issues, creating mitigation plans and where necessary, escalates to stakeholders for resolution support.
Works with Functional Managers to align on capacity plans and project assignments, oversee the project tasks of technical resources to ensure timely completion of key milestones, and to prioritize/organize cross-team dependent work.
Prepare project budgets with input from functional leaders and gain alignment across Product and Technology leadership. Monitors project budget usage against baseline and progress made to ensure delays are caught early and addressed.
Creates and maintains standard project documentation which clearly relay projecting timing, scope, milestones, roles, issues, risks, etc.
Coordinates efforts between OEC, stakeholders and vendors by setting up a meeting/communication plans throughout the life of the project.
Integrates projects with other departments and business areas and stakeholders, to ensure integration of assigned project plans and agreement on strategic choices including procurement..
Where necessary, identify and implement organization change management, to enable smooth integration into OECs existing culture, processes, and policies.
Education
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
At least 5 years of technical project management experience working with large scale technology projects. Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
