About the Role
As a Technical Project Manager (TPM) on our international remote team at Mercor, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between client needs and operational execution. This role combines elements of project management, operations, and HR management to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality deliverables to our customers. You will work closely with our Engagement Managers and Operations teams to manage client interactions, oversee recruitment processes, and drive continuous improvements through innovative solutions.
Roles Mission Statement:A Technical Project Manager at Mercor will propel our companys growth by managing complex projects within the life cycle of our engagement with customers, many of whom use our platform to find domain experts to build datasets to train and evaluate AI models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and management of recruitment pipelines to source domain experts for various AI model training projects commissioned by foundational AI companies.
- Oversee end-to-end assessment strategies to ensure the selection of high-quality talent that meets specific client requirements, using Mercors platform or other external sources.
- Coordinate with internal teams and the wider Operations team to execute high-impact action items requiring data pipeline design and analysis to ensure timely delivery of top-notch deliverables.
- Collaborating with Engagement Managers to oversee the complete lifecycle of projects, establishing project infrastructure, monitoring KPIs, and delivering results on time.
- Aid in managing client relationships, translating their AI model training requirements into actionable plans and driving the execution of core tasks.
- Onboard and interface directly with domain experts on bespoke tasks essential to the project's success, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
- Continuously analyze and enhance our processes, implementing automation and efficiency improvements to streamline operations and boost productivity.
What Were Looking For
We're looking for a Technical Project Manager who will thrive in a high-pressure environment and be excited about contributing to the fast-paced growth of a dynamic startup.
Preferred Background & Experience:
- Experience in project management and operations with previous background in tech, finance, consulting, human data, or a related field.
- Background in a technical domain (e.g., computer science, engineering), or demonstrated learning, is a plus.
- Familiarity with using data analysis tools like Excel and project management software.
- A nice-to-have, but not a requirement, is a proven track record of managing client interactions and recruitment processes.
