Job Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Project Lead / Project Manager to manage our team of talented web developers. Our ideal candidate has a strong technical background, particularly in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS), and a track record of managing successful web development projects.

As a UK-based company, we require candidates to work according to UK time zones. Additionally, holidays will align with the UK calendar. Candidates must also have a large screen and reliable computer equipment, as this is a fully remote position.

You must have experience of Managing Website building Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Overseeing the work of individual developers as they write JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.

· Ensuring the security and commercial confidentiality of our project.

· Meeting project timelines and budgets using project management tools like Clickup

· Performing quality checks on written code and ensuring high standards are maintained.

· Managing our code repository, including branching, merging, and handling Pull Requests.

· Team building with some recruitment and onboarding of team members located anywhere in the world.

· Team management, ensuring your team is delivering fast and efficiently and replacing weak performers with new members, keeping an eye on key metrics

· People management handling their day to day issues and delays and absentees are kept to a minimum.

· Ensuring your teams Tech is working and they are able to produce.

· Keeping the Project to Time Schedule and Budget, with occasional meetings with Business Director to set targets on those.

• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS).

Required Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in a Technical managing role since graduation.
• Experience of Website developing projects, and Managing a Technical team of at least x10 people.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team, and connect with people rapidly.
• a self-starter and extremely punctual of time to lead your team by example.
• Understanding of the tools such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and using Visual Studio Code so you can address technical barriers and find solutions yourself without regular involvement of management.
• Expert in using Project management tools such as Jira.
• understanding of MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS).
• Some GitHub repository management skills.
• Experience in taking designs from Figma to functional code.

· Applicants should be prepared to provide examples of projects they've managed, particularly those involving MERN stack.

· Excellent English speaking skills as you will be onboarding UK coders also.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Project Management, via courses.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field with at least 10 years of post-degree experience.
• Experience working on Projects with large-scale websites with high traffic.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Job role - What you require:

In order to setup working from home technologies, such as screen / device / keyboard. The company will overall pay for these items in addition to your salary on a monthly basis (over 5 months), but you may need to look at interim EMI options.
