The Team Lead of Data and Analytics will lead a team responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools. This role combines technical expertise and leadership to deliver data-driven insights efficiently and effectively. The team lead will manage the triage and resolution of ServiceNow tickets related to existing dashboards and ensure all BI solutions meet business requirements and industry best practices. They will also oversee continuous improvements, conduct detailed data analysis, and provide regular feedback and training to team members. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
The Team Lead of Data and Analytics will lead a dynamic team responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools as needed. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen to ensure that data-driven insights are delivered efficiently and effectively to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will also manage the triage and resolution of ServiceNow tickets related to existing dashboards.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of BI developers and analysts.
- Oversee the development and implementation of BI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Guide the team in the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools.
- Ensure that all dashboards and reports meet business requirements and are aligned with industry best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of dashboards to ensure data accuracy, performance, and relevance.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in BI tools and data visualization best practices.
- Perform detailed data analysis to understand source system data and source-to-target mappings.
- Oversee the triage of service tickets related to BI tools and dashboards.
- Provide support for BI tools and dashboards, including root cause analysis and resolution of system issues.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues reported by users.
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvements to BI tool processes and architecture.
- Ensure thorough documentation of BI solutions and processes.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies and standards.
- Ensure all daily data load processes have fully executed and triage any failed loads in coordination with database SMEs.
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Conduct workshops and joint application design sessions to gather and refine requirements.
- Perform software capability reviews and presentations as required.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Provide regular feedback, training, and development opportunities to team members.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields.
- Proven experience with Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in an agile development environment.
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Certification in Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience in Clinical Trials generally, and Medical Imaging trials specifically.
