Purpose
As a Technical Consultant (TC) working with the implementation team, you will deliver implementation and/or consulting to projects to achieve successful on-time projects with client satisfaction. As an integral part of this team, you will be primarily responsible for testing C#, PL/SQL code, and Telerik reports to support these client projects.
Essential Functions
- Technical Consultant will help design, implement, execute, and assess software quality through manual test cases to ensure product quality for the Project team.
- The individual should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly collaborative, creative and proactive and be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- The individual will work closely with technical consultant, project manager, and other stakeholders throughout the Project individually.
- The Technical consultant plays an important part in the product development process by executing test iterations, tracking, and reporting results.
- The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.
- The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all the project stakeholders.
- Help design, implement, execute, and maintain test cases based on design specifications.
- Identify, investigate (as necessary), and report issues found through testing including validating issue and determining depth and breadth of testing needed
- Document issues in project tracking application
- Be a vocal proponent for maintaining quality in every phase of the development lifecycle
Skills Needed To Be Successful
- Overall 5+ years of experience in testing and quality assurance.
- 4+ years of expertise in testing web and mobile applications.
- 4+ years of expertise in functional testing, Database and API testing.
- Experience in testing mobile applications. Experience in Healthcare domain and LIMS is an advantage,
- Experience using Jira / Azure DevOps as complete test management tool. Experience in API Testing.
- Skills to identify application issues and areas for improvement, test gaps and formulate ways to bridge those gaps
- Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to execute all levels of testing including but not limited to Software Application, Integration and Component Level Regression
- Work closely with development teams to help ensure efficient, frequent software releases
- Passion for and deep understanding of the best practices of the Quality Engineering
- Good team player with good written and verbal communication skills

Shift Timings
- This is a permanent role comprising a five-day week with shifts to cover our core UK hours from Monday to Friday. For India these are UK shifts from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST.
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Healthcare, Chemistry/Biology, Life Sciences/Pharma, Forensics/Toxicology, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
3+ years experience working with a LIS or LIMS system
3+ years experience with PL/SQL query writing (Oracle DB Knowledge preferred)
3+ years experience with C# programing
3+ years experience developing LIS/LIMS reports using a common report writing tool (i.e. Crystal Reports, SSRS, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
- Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs; use of fingers, walking/standing 2-6 hours
- Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
- Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization
- May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements
