What will you do
As Technical (Solution) Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for Project Delivery (from Ideation to production), Technical Solution design & Architecture, Operations Support, maintenance(enhancement) & Upgrade/Modernization projects(systems) & initiatives, showing strong leadership ensuring quality and timely delivery of the projects. managing project delivery & Support, helping with Technical design & solution architecture (as required), conducting POC/POV & Product/Tool evaluation etc. as per the need or applicability, managing technical delivery & Business Analysts team members along with their Performance evaluation & providing performance feedbacks working closely with Senior Engagement/Delivery managers, Collaborate with cross functional groups/teams, liaison with Business groups, end users, client, Senior engagement managers/Senior Technical Delivery Managers and leadership, Provide periodic Project progress/status reviews(updates) along with defined Metrics, Manage(Lead) automation, process improvement/Toil reduction initiatives.
Your scope of work / key responsibilities:
Delivery of the development, Operations Support, maintenance(enhancement) & Upgrade/Modernization projects(systems) & initiatives
Showing strong leadership ensuring quality and timely delivery of the projects. managing project delivery & Support, helping with Technical design & solution architecture (as required), conducting POC/POV & Product/Tool evaluation etc. as per the need or applicability
Manage technical delivery & Business Analysts team members along with their Performance evaluation & providing performance feedbacks working closely with Senior Engagement/Delivery managers
Collaborate with cross functional groups/teams, liaison with Business groups, end users, client, Senior engagement/Delivery managers and leadership, Provide periodic Project progress/status reviews(updates) along with defined Metrics, Manage (Lead) automation, process improvement/Toil reduction/Productivity Improvement/Value creation initiatives, Productivity Improvement mechanisms & Delivery cycle time reduction, pre-sales
Help with recruitment selection process with feedbacks, recommendation, plan & Create Career path for team members and cross-functional development will fall within the ambit of your responsibilities.
Analyze requirements and collaborate with Customer/Business groups/Business System Analysts to further detail out & finalize the requirements
Experience In designing technical solutions and work closely with Architect/Designers to Draft/Discuss, review & finalize the solution design
Strong experience with Development-Support work in Onshore-Offshore model
Stay current with trends in emerging technologies and how they could apply to Sun Life
Participate in agile ceremonies.
Key Qualifications and experience:
University Degree in a computer science or related discipline
Proven experience - Must have led at-least 2 delivery projects end to end from ideation to production delivery.
Demonstrated a role of a Technical Delivery Manager for at-least 3-5 yrs. for a large regulatory program e.g. IFRS 17, Actuarial, GDFR, AML, Data Technologies etc.
Excellent Technical Solution Design/Architecture skills with extensive experience with Project delivery in Agile projects from Ideation to Production.
Must have solid understanding of Agile Methodology. Demonstrated leadership in running scrums and KANBAN implementations using JIRA, MIRO, Confluence tools.
Must be thorough in technical skills and should be a coach for the team in resolving roadblocks, navigate risks and issues and ensure project is running within cost / budget

Technical Credentials (Preferred/Nice to Have):
Prior Working experience in Insurance, Actuarial IFRS, BFSI or Finance accounting domains
Prior Working experience with few of these technologies - Dot Net, Java, Databases PL SQL, Visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion), DevOps with Kubernetes, JIRA Cloud, GitHub CoPilot, Cloud & Serverless technologies, Python (PySpark), REST API, Informatica Power Center, AWS Glue, ETL, Archer, Actuarial IFRS 17 standards, Data Modelling etc.
Preferred skills:-
Should have at least 12-15 years of total work experience in Solution Delivery with minimum 3-5 years of Technical Delivery Manager experience.
Experienced in SDLC, Agile way of working with Sprint planning & prioritization.
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
Experience in using Collaboration tools for e.g. MIRO
Extensive experience in working with Customers, Business groups and end user to gather functional/non-functional requirements and strong documentation skills
Should have created Functional requirements specification, BRD, User story documents.
Experience with Effort estimation techniques.
Strong experience with Onshore-Offshore working model and working with teams from various geographies.
Hands-on Knowledge on Databases & writing SQL queries.
