Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Hardware Technical Architect with over 8 years of expertise in hardware design, development, and testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of electronic components, board design, and various communication protocols. This role involves leading the design and development of hardware solutions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience in electronic components and board design, specifically application-specific multi-core SoC.
- Proficiency in communication protocols such as MODBUS, RS485, CAN, SPI, USB, and cellular modems.
- Experience in interfacing with sensors, solenoids, valves, and electro-mechanical components (motors, pumps, relays).
- Expertise in PCB specs/constraints design and CAD layout design coordination/optimization.
- Coordination across software/firmware (HW-SW interface) development, diagnostics, integration, and EE-ME interface designs.
- Understanding of compliance standards and coordination with test labs across various geographic locations.
- Experience in design/review (DFx) for regulatory (EMI/EMC) and reliability compliance standards, and certification support.
- Skills in value engineering and analysis.
- Proficiency in bring-up/diagnostics/DVT, performance/margin/corner testing, parametric/compliance evaluation for wired/wireless ports, and power supply testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and testing of hardware architecture for new products.
- Define system requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with software and firmware teams to integrate hardware and software components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new hardware designs.
- Oversee the testing and validation of hardware components and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hardware architecture and system design.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB design, and schematic capture tools.
- Experience with hardware testing and validation processes.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
