Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of preventive maintenance activities of all utility and water system equipment's as per approved schedules.
  • Preparation and monitoring of water analysis trends.
  • Operation of water plant.
  • Operation and Maintenance of Boilers.
  • To ensure that the new SOPs, CCFs, IRs, Validation protocols, reports (like qualification) etc.(with support of related peers)are made, reviewed and implemented on time as per the ESD objectives.
  • To ensure readiness of his/her work area in terms of m/c and equipment as per the site objectives.
  • To ensure that compliance (regulatory, saturators and legal) are understood, implemented and monitored on a daily basis. To adhere to principles of Good Engineering Practices (GEP).
  • To bring out improvement in m/c availability, time bound repair of m/c and equipment (along with the relevant records).
  • To ensure the asset owners are aware of the maintainability issues of their assets.
  • Ensure that all the drawings and technical specifications of the equipment and system in his area are updated.
  • To reuse and recycle equipment, etc. wherever possible.
  • Investigating the water failures and taking the corrective action.
  • Investigating calibration failures and failure between preventive maintenance and taking the corrective action.
  • Ensure that the equipment and related systems (both old and new) are (re)qualified/ (re)validated as per schedule.
  • Reduce construction cost in line with the site objectives.
  • Trouble shooting with an objective of finding permanent solution.
  • To ensure the facility is as per site objectives at all times
  • Ensure the good upkeep of the department (infrastructure, m/c, equipment and housekeeping).
  • To ensure cGMP implementation in his/her area as per site's QMS.
  • Liasoning (with peers and outside agencies) to meet business objectives.
  • Timely absorption of new initiatives like projects, modification etc.
  • To maintain records/ log books/ documentations as per SOPs.
  • Spares management of utility equipment.
  • Budget monitoring / controlling.
  • To meet SHE targets for their area.
  • Preparation of Schedules for filter cleaning, HVAC periodical performance qualification and recording of activities.
  • Monitoring of Differential pressure, temperatures in cleanrooms and across filters in AHU plenum.
  • Monitoring of filter cleaning, HVAC Periodical Performance qualification as per approved schedules.
  • To Prepare & update the HVAC layouts, maintaining the records on history of Equipment at the site.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: A bachelor's in engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Any other Discipline)

Minimum work experience: 5 to 10 years

Skills & attributes:

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge on Reactors, centrifuges, AHU's, RCVD, Millers, Sifters, Pass box, Vacuum Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, etc.
  • Execution of preventive maintenance.
  • Experience in handling audits, inspections, event investigations and CAPA.

Behavioural Skills

  • Team management and leadership skills to lead engineering team.
  • Commitment to compliance and quality.
  • Project management skills to handle equipment modification and installation projects.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams and coordinate with regulatory and internal audit teams.
