We are now looking for an experienced and qualified candidate with the main mission to work as Team Manager - Hydraulics & Powertrain.
Your main responsibilities in this role will be:

- Coach and Mentor, the engineers working in hydraulic & PT team.
- Drive team competence development in line with organization mission.
- Monitor and address the impact of team design output on Cost of Quality.
- Handling of NPD and CPI projects.
- Continuous improvement of the hydraulics & PT systems in various products by implementing technological advancements.
- Travel to production units and sites as needed.
- Develop simulation competence within the team.
- Drive Pulse meeting within team and with customer.
- Drive QMS process within team.
- Monitor and Maintain team utilization.
- Build project pipeline for team.
- Drive team KPIS and team growth.
- Project Management (Multiple projects, Multiple location)
- Receive and Review projects/Assignments.
- Project planning, Resource planning, Delivery tracking.
- Effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Represent team project steering if needed.
- Analysing customer feedback
- Represent team in different forums (Internal, External)
- Ensure customer loyalty grows.
- People Management - Recruitment, Training and Coaching, Appraising.
- Reporting to BLM in a timely and efficient manner
- Comply with company policies and follow company values and business code of practice
Experience Requirements :
- Minimum 12 years Hydraulic design experience in a new product development environment in mining or construction segment.
- Experience with both closed loop and open loop hydraulics system
- Experience in automation & control (Sensors, controllers, network systems) will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications:
- Masters or bachelors in mechanical engineering / Hydraulics from a reputed institute
Knowledge requirements:
- Good understanding of the operation and application of electro hydraulics, proportional and servo valves.
- In-depth knowledge on the pressure compensation and load sensing controls of the pump and closed loop circuits
- Should have a very good capability to analyse customer requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Software skills on simulation will be an advantage.
- Proficient knowledge of Powertrain systems and Drives
- General understanding on control systems hardware and software.
- Knowledge of Design standards
