nROLE
nIncumbent will be responsible for end to end process management & delivery of process of all or a cluster of processes which include:
- nConfirmation of all instrument class viz, Equity, Bonds, Fx & MM Deposits
- nSettlements involving Equities and Fixed in different markets across the globe
- nCash Management (Payments and Journal postings)
- nOverdraft Monitoring
- nFront Office Reconciliation
nThe incumbent will be accountable for proper change management & process improvement. Continuously develop industry/product knowledge. Ability to understand customer segments and apply different servicing approaches based on customer knowledge level. Implement development plans for staff.
nPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
nLead and organise work
nEnsure that the team is aligned to overall operations objectives
nTo ensure due oversight and controls over the daily processes covered by the team.
nTo ensure due oversight and controls over the processes. Maintenance of joint issue log. Chair weekly meetings to review this.
nReconciliation has performed with 100% accuracy level and completed within expected timelines as defined in the SLA
nProactively manage workflow, adhering to agreed client SLAs and turnaround times for resolution of queries.
nAssess exceptions and deviations from the standard support processes and takes appropriate action to ensure correct and timely processing
nConduct Procedure and work flow reviews to identify opportunities to increase efficiency. Identifies process improvements and service delivery using creative and proactive measures.
nProvide information on the status/progress of exceptions and resulting processes to other departments
nAdvise junior staff on resolution of problems
nManage the performance of employees within the team
nEnsure team familiar with and understand requirements described in the Clients SLAs, BCPs etc.,
nManage and maintain Key Performance Indicators for the functional areas under their control
nEscalate issues to onshore location when appropriate
nMaintain training and talent matrix for the team.

- nGeneral knowledge of financial products and their operations processing requirements specific knowledge of Cash Equity, Fixed Income & Fx Products.
- nFinancial Markets
- nGeneral knowledge of financial markets, the institutions that govern them and the major firms that operate in them
- nSpecific knowledge of all relevant markets in different region viz. EMEA, US & APAC
- nKnowledge of specific clearing institutions. i.e. CREST and Euroclear
- nAn understanding of the various departments within Investment management world and how they interact with each other:
- nFront Office
- nOperations Departments: Confirmations, Settlements, Reconciliation, Data Management
- nOther Support Functions: Finance, Legal & Compliance. General knowledge of the lifecycle of a securities trade
- nSpecific knowledge of Equity, FI & FX Settlement processes:
- nPre and Post Settlement
- nCash Management
- nStock & Cash Reconciliation
- nOperational Risks & Controls
nIT Systems
- nUnderstanding of the functional purpose of each system used in day-to-day processing
- nUnderstanding of how the data in the various systems is interrelated.
- nRisk Management
- nUnderstanding and consistent application of key control activities within day-to-day processing
nEXPERIENCE:
n24 months as Technical Coordinator
- nCA/ MBA (Finance)/CFA or B.com with at least 1 years experience in people management role.
- nKnowledge of Capital Markets Essential with the knowledge of the investment management/asset servicing industry (preferable), with Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the capital market domain.
