A hands-on leadership role with responsibility in managing employees, tasks and project deliverables for a team of SQEs with individuals located onsite and offshore.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Review project relevant documents regarding testability, comprehensibility, plausibility, inconsistencies or quality gaps.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, providing experience and guidance regarding project risk and possible mitigation actions.
- Feedback of review results to internal department stuff and/or external teams.

- Manage and monitor the day to day operations within the department including onshore and offshore team.
- Resolving issues and conflicts regarding project progress or within the team.
- Monitor the performance of SQEs reporting and offshore testing resources as needed and address any issues that occur to next level.
- Prepare and/or maintain training materials for the Project SQE group.
- Ensure commitment to functional excellence and the ability to execute positive changes.
- Inform department staff of their responsibilities for technical working procedures and quality and confirming their understanding at suitable intervals.
- Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.

- Re-assign SQEs/Testing resources as needed on various projects.
- Work on onshore and offshore testing resources, including resource management and capacity planning.
- Assess SQE effort for projects.
- Assign tasks to the team of SQEs and monitor their efficiency.

- Serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional collaborations within the department or with other Clario departments.
- Responsible for cross functional collaboration with other departments like manufacturing operations, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical functions etc.

- Establish, implement and refine processes and technology standards for all projects to ensure quality and timeliness for all deliverables (including quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance).
- Write, review and maintain all Operations Delivery QA standard operating procedures.
- Contribute and work with team members in improving productivity without compromising quality by optimizing the manual testing approach and maximize test automation coverage.
- Lead/Own or participate in issue investigations and RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) as applicable (including post production defects). Responsible for developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions as a result of RCAs. Process CAPAs to ensure implementation of timely and effective corrective & preventive actions.
- Ensure all testing practices and procedures meet the regulatory compliance standards for Good Clinical Practices.
- Project Management/Reporting: Demonstrated ability to perform the actions associated with this skill without assistance.
- Communicate and ensure the planned timelines for the projects.
- Develop, maintain & report metrics outlining Key Performance Indicators (KPI) measuring productivity, timeliness and quality.

- Participate in all local and remote internal and external audits and provide accurate information. Respond to audit findings and observations as necessary.
- Attend customer calls as needed.

- Ensure a working IT infrastructure for the team members including test systems.

- Build and drive departmental strategies aligned to support Corporate Goals and position tactical plans to ensure delivery excellence.
- Management of strategic service and technology business partnerships including: Offshore SQE resources.
- Manage the budget of the department.
- Test Management: Demonstrated ability to perform the actions associated with this skill without assistance.
- Definition of test case goals.
- Using test techniques for defining test cases.
- Definition and execution of test cases with expected result (Integration test, functional test, performance test etc.).
- Definition of prerequisites for a test case.
- Provide input to reviews and categorization of bugs.
- Traceability regarding requirements, test cases and test documents.
- Collaborate with developer or study implementation manager to understand the changes in new software versions and identify the appropriate set of functional and regression tests needed to verify that new features work as designed and do not cause any undesirable behavior.
- Creation and review of all test documents needed for various test activities and applicable SOPs/procedures to ensure their quality, accuracy and completeness.
- Attend project meetings.

Qualifications And Skills Needed

Education
- BS, BA or equivalent in an Information Technology or related field required
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of software testing and/or equivalent experience .
- Minimum of 2 years experience in managing projects with a proven track record to deliver quality, on-time and in-budget.
- Expert experience with Clario software/Hardware.
- Advanced understanding of the Software Development Process.
- Profound English language skills (if applicable).
- Advanced Level Test Analyst & Test Manager of ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
- Advanced ability to self-develop.
- Ability to participate in OPS Readiness.
- Expert knowledge of Test Automation (if applicable).
- Expert knowledge of Agile Methodologies (if applicable).
