Lead - Instrumentation Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation Management: Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, validation, and calibration requirements.
- Leadership: Lead the instrumentation team to deliver effective services for ongoing calibration and validation projects, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and technical leaders.
- Technical Support: Provide expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems; prepare and review P&IDs, and evaluate/calibrate instrumentation tools and systems.
- Calibration/Validation: Lead calibration and validation activities from instrumentation front to ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory norms, conducting periodic and preventive maintenance as per the schedules to ensure adherence to compliance norms, timelines and schedules.
- Automation Optimization: Utilize expertise in automation and process enhancement systems to optimize performance and address instrumentation-related issues, minimizing downtime.
- Documentation: Ensure specifications and documentation for various instruments, instrumentation index, and I/O details align with regulatory standards.
- Team Management: Train team members and oversee their development, Prioritize the projects and daily functional activities., Conduct regular training on SOPs and cGMP for team members, Stay updated on process improvements and technological advances, enhancing team capabilities accordingly.
Compliance and Quality Management:
- Ensure regulatory compliance in line with USFDA Compliance (21 CFR).
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment and professional culture
- Adherence to the quality management systems (QMS), Process safety and processing engineering and Safety norms
Qualifications:
- Education: BE/B. Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 12-18 years in instrumentation engineering of pharmaceutical manufacturing, with experience in automation and process integration.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and enterprise integrations is preferred, along with a commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.
