Job Description
Review annual, semiannual, and quarterly financial reports, and other internal and external reports for Mutual Funds, Life and Annuity Products, and Collective Funds, which include financial statements, notes to the financial statements, financial highlights. Provide supervision to the team, including leading, coaching, and mentoring. Also, be responsible for work allocation/management among team members.
Key Responsibilities
Review annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial reports, which includes tailored shareholder report, financial statements, notes to the financial statements, financial highlights, and portfolio of investments.
Validate financial information for accuracy and analysis of various financial relationships. Review various control roll forwards, reconciliations, and other supporting documentation.
Review reports/ filings, such as Forms 24F-2, N-MFP, N-CSR / CPO-PQR, NFA, that are to be filed with regulatory agencies, like the SEC / CFTC respectively. Be responsible for various centralized activities, such as internal and external reports and information summaries to facilitate shareholder reporting.
Provide supervision to the team, which includes work management, coaching, mentoring, performance management. Make sure service level agreement metrics is met at all times in terms of both accuracy and timeliness.
Identify and execute business requirements for potential system enhancements and/or the development of procedural changes to accommodate any financial reporting impacts brought on by regulatory or business initiatives. Participate in / execute change management, lead sub stream of projects/ drive initiatives being driven at Department level.
Coordinate and maintain strong relationship with business partners during the preparation of financial reports and regulatory filings (legal, tax, external audit, and investment accounting).
Manage production deadlines and resolve any reporting issues or inconsistencies that arise during the report production and regulatory filing process.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Finance and/or Accounting is mandatory.
Strong understanding of and work experience in mutual fund investment accounting processes or shareholder reporting.
At least 1 year of experience in review of financial statements.
Master's Degree - M.COM/MBA/PGDM
5-7 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with InvestOne accounting system and Arc Reporting/ FundSuite / Financial Reporting software a plus.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
Well versed in MS-Office.
Excellent Communication (written and oral) and interpersonal Skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic with high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.
